The Irish Pub Group owner Declan, announced today Wednesday 6th September that the group will be opening a series of new venues in the fabulous Villamartin Plaza.
In a Facebook live post that lasted over 70 minutes - Declan gave information about the group and its benefits as well as listing the new bars, restaurant and attractions that the group are bringing to the Plaza. The full video can be found at the bottom of this page.
Here is a summary of what is happening.....
Shandon Bells - Irish Pub - located at the back of Villamartin Plaza. They have a legal licence to 4am to play music and will be bringing this back next year.
Hanks Bistro - this will be open on an 'open and close' policy according to demand and staffing levels. It will be open for events in the Plaza as well as opening in the evening. When the new wine bar opens (see below) - Hanks Bistro will close
Portabello Kitchen (same level of food as Restaurant Budapest) - New Menu launched on Monday from the new head chef. Fantastic choice of items, with some new swedish dishes added. Closed on Wednesday. All freshly cooked food with choice of different menus. Sunday lunch available. See below for a selection of photos of the new menu items (menus to follow).
NEW - Wine Bar with Off Licence facility. Located opposite to Shandon Bells (old admin office). Front Terrace onto the Plaza - back terrace with seats.
NEW - Fish and Chip Shop (old Quesada Fish & Chips) - called Stan's Diner. Designed like a diner and will sell Fish & Chips as well as burgers, pizza, etc. Will have a specific childrens area for children to go in and purchase when they are using the childrens area with tokens. Will be open 9am to 10pm. Delivery and take away available. Opening sometime in 2024 (hopefully before Summer)
NEW - No. 1 on the list. Kids Club/Area. Located where Bar Loreto is. Everyone is welcome - ready for April-June 2024. Members given tokens to use in the machines every day. A wooden unit will be serving sweets and drinks. Packages available in Head Office for non members available to purchase. Bar Loreto will close permanently once the kids area has opened.
NEW - Nightclub - Baloo. The old Ole Ole venue. This will be a Jazz and Blues Club, with dancefloor. Different themes each night. Live acts and also serving a small selection of Sushi complimentary to patrons. Opening date TBC
